My attempt at spray painting.

I used Groovy Girl alphabet die from Sizzix and cut few letters from my vinyl sheets. I took the negatives from the cutouts and fixed them to the mug/bowl. Then i covered the rest of the mug/bowl with sheets of paper and spray painted.

The smudges in letters M & A were because of the vinyl stickers not being fixed well to the mug prior to painting.

Malen is a friend who just turned another year older last week.
I’m not giving this to her, though. I like it much much. ;-P

Belated happy birthday, Malen!

  1. i've been looking for a paint that would really stick to the mug. won't the spray paint come off when the mug is washed? what type of paint can you suggest? btw, your crafts are SUPER! :)

    1. Thank you for the compliment, Elaine.

I was not able to check if it will come off. I suggest you use an acrylic sealant on top of the painted area. I have one. It is commonly used for sealing decal applications. (like in this tutorial: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1122409)
