It is that time of the year again when my hands are itchy for calendar making. I'm going to show here how I make a simple flip calendar. Here are the stuff I used - minus the PC & printer.
(top to bottom;left to right) Tozicle Double-Loop Binder by Carl, my blade cutter + cutting mat, We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper, Elmer's glue and glue tape.
I made layouts of the calendar pages in Photoshop. I downloaded MS Excel 2012 calendar templates from MS Office website. I had fun selecting and swapping pictures between months of the year.
These are what came out after printing, trimming, corner chomping and running the pages through the Carl Tozicle hole puncher.
I then took some kraft board and trimmed to the same size as the calendar pages for the calendar stand.
The loop rings I have in my supplies are for A4 sheets so I have to cut them. Below are the steps on how I bind pages with my Tozicle.
Finally, I cut a small piece from the same kraft board to finish the calendar stand.
There you go. My 2012 desktop flip calendar.

ReplyDeleteHi, Elaine! The Carl Tozicle binder was a used one. I bought it from someone in an online store. I don't remember if it's ebay or sulit.
DeleteI used to see and drool over them at the office supplies section of SM Megamall department store, here in the Philippines.
You can look for similar items, if the Carl brand is not available. Just ask for "double-loop" or "o-wire" binder system.

here are the Carl Tozicle binding system model numbers: SPS-34 for the puncher and WR-34 for the binder (ring closer)
